| On July 19, 1990, the Sunrunner team crossed the finish line at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, MI, claiming first place in the first GM Sunrayce. The team didn't take the time to relax and enjoy their victory. They continued their hard work preparing for the World Solar Challenge in Australia. Competing against industrial teams like Honda and Hoxan and also university teams like Maryland, Pomona and Western Washington, the team placed an impressive third in the world. | ||||||||||
